Today In HistoryJesse Owens, the winner of four Olympic Gold Medals in Berlin in 1936, was commemorated on a U.S. postage stamp on this date July 6, 1990.
The Postal Service issued a commemorative stamp depicting Jesse Owens competing in a hurdles event at Ohio State University, which he attended in the mid-1930s.
